Belize is a fabulous travel destination but you can also become a permanent tourist if you explore the local real estate market in Belize and buy a property here. 1st let’s discuss about a few attractions in Belize and we will end with some tips about becoming a permanent tourist by buying a property in Belize. A popular peninsula in southern Belize, Placencia has the best mainland beaches, plus some of the most amazing offshore coral cayes. The eastern side of the Placencia Peninsula is a long expanse of white sand beach. The western side is bounded by a long and narrow bay. The beautiful beaches together with the abundant, inexpensive accommodation, make it a great place to relax and one of the attractions in Belize.

Snuggled on the end of a 26-kilometer sandy peninsula, Placencia is a popular fishing village and beach resort. Travelers come here to bask on the beautiful white-sand beaches, eat fresh seafood at the excellent restaurants, fish, kayak the lagoon, and dive and snorkel in the Silk Cayes Marine Reserve. In the village, brightly-colored clapboard houses raised on stilts line the narrow concrete path where fishermen used to transport fish in wheelbarrows. Near Placencia, Laughing Bird Caye National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with hiking trails and coral reefs. Swimming, snorkeling, sea kayaking, and diving are popular activities here. The traditional Garifuna village of Seine Bight is also located on the Placencia Peninsula and offers a glimpse into the unique culture of these fascinating people of Amerindian and African heritage. From Placencia, nature lovers can organize a cruise through the mangroves on the Monkey River to see birds, howler monkeys, and crocodiles.

Also known as the Cave of the Crystal Maiden, ATM cave was abandoned by the ancient Maya long before the arrival of the Europeans. As part of their religion, the ancient Maya priests performed sacred ceremonies in caves like ATM as they were believed to be gateways to the shadowy world of the gods. Having lain undisturbed for more than 1,000 years, ATM is a sacred time portal to the lost world of the Maya and contains many important relics, artifacts, and ritual items. The most famous attraction in the cave is the series of skeletal remains from bloody human sacrifices, including half a dozen young children whose heads were crushed. The Crystal Maiden is a complete skeleton of a young adult whose bones have taken on a metallic sheen from the crystals inside the cave. Source: https://belizesecretbeach.com/.
