Best auto tyres in Reading? Touring tyres, or highway tyres, are tyres with less focus on sporty handling, and more on comfort, low noise and low fuel use. However, unlike the UHP tyres, we DO have a new challenger for this closely contested segment! Goodyear have released the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2! Sadly, no one in Europe has done a 16″ tyre test this year. I was MEANT to be doing a full 16″ test a few weeks ago, but travelling to france to do the test wasn’t the smartest idea, so that’s been postponed to June. Subscribe for that 🙂 This means for now, we only have a 17″ test, and a TUV test to see how the new Goodyear performs. Of the two, the 16″ TUV test is the most interesting, as it shows the new EfficientGrip Performance 2 wearing 20% better than even the best Michelin can offer, while also having better wet braking performance.
BFGoodrich has participated in several competitions and has achieved success with 28 final victories at the Baja California Contest and 13 wins in the Paris-Dakar Rally. It is also the tire supplier for the 2006 and 2007 seasons of the World Rally Championship. When talking about top 10 tire brands in the world, we have to mention the Bridgestone, which is one of the most successful Japanese tire brands too. Bridgestone was founded in 1931 by Shojiro Ishibashi and the company specialises in manufacturing auto and truck parts.
The model from the English Dunlop (today belongs to the American concern Goodyear) has an asymmetric tread pattern, wide longitudinal grooves for aqua resistance and is selected as the original factory equipment for many cars like Volkswagen Golf, Skoda Octavia, Jaguar XJ and others. It’s a proven and reliable way for safe driving on dry and wet asphalt. The model was introduced in the summer season of 2019 and is the base version for more “advanced” versions like Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport RS (the closest to sports tires) and Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport K (intermediate version). Coming second in our 2014 test, the Goodyear has now been pushed down to sixth by newer tyres. As before, it performed best for rolling resistance and interior noise, where it came third and first respectively. Its engineers also seem to have found the recipe for improving fuel economy without sacrificing grip in the rain, as the Goodyear came second in the straight aquaplaning test. Elsewhere, the Goodyear tended to sit in the middle of the pack, with a dry-circuit lap less than a second behind the winner and a stopping distance within three metres of the top result. Like the Kumho, the EfficientGrip felt slightly soft on dry roads, lacking the sharp feedback of the Continental or Hankook, but grip still seemed strong.
It does not matter whether you are a serious user of a car or a part-time user. If you own a car for your own use, then you need to be very serious about taking proper care of it. You just need to remember that your car is your possession, and you would be solely responsible for taking care of it. Moreover, you would be required to spend money on its repairs if it faces any technical trouble in the end due to your negligence. You should pay regular attention towards getting the car servicing facilities for your car. Read extra information at here.
